Hugh Rice Jewellers has appointed Hannah Hirst as retail director, adding her to the board as part of efforts to strengthen the business and enhance the customer experience.

Hirst has been promoted from her role as procurement manager, a position she has held since 2021.

She has worked at the family-owned jeweller for more than eight years, initially joining as a buyer focused on Swiss watches before expanding her remit into diamonds and fine jewellery.

Before joining Hugh Rice, Hirst spent several years at Topshop and Topman, where she progressed from sales advisor to deputy manager. During that time, she supported the launch of new stores in Germany and the Netherlands and worked on European flagship locations.

According to the group, Hirst’s appointment reflected its commitment to investing in its leadership team and supporting long-term growth across the business.

Hugh Rice Jewellers said: “Hirst brings strong supplier relationships and a detailed understanding of the business to the role, alongside experience gained across buying, procurement and team coordination.”
