Norwich jewellery store raid: Six people charged with robbery

Six males have been charged with robbery following a raid on a jewellery store in Norwich city centre on Wednesday last week. 

The robbery took place at the Winsor Bishop jewellery store on London Street shortly after 10:50am. The incident was caught on camera by passers-by, some of whom tried to tackle the robbers as they made their escape on mopeds.

The six men who have been charged with robbery are Alfredo Rojasvargas, 24, from Islington, London, Bradley McMillan, 22, Islington, Mark Moloney, 18, Islington, Tommy McKenzie, 25, Hillingdon, A 17-year-old boy from Islington and Curtis Bradbury, 21, from Hayes in Hillingdon.

Bradbury has also been charged with one count of possessing an offensive weapon in a public place.

All six men have been remanded in custody and appeared at Norwich Magistrates Court on Friday (August 7) morning. The case was sent to Norwich Crown Court and the next hearing will take place in September.

Norfolk Police said that the 14-year-old-boy it had mentioned in previous statements has been arrested and bailed for an unconnected robbery.

Winsor Bishop recently released a statement thanking the public for their support and help both during and after the raid.
