Dublin-based Chupi has launched its new One in a Trillion collection and also confirmed its plans to expand in the UK.

Founder, CEO and designer, Chupi Sweetman, founded the jewellery brand in 2013 in Dublin with an aim to design heirloom jewellery which “captures and celebrates life’s moments of love, hope and everything in between”.

Sweetman has established her brand in more than 70 countries worldwide.

She has also confirmed plans to open a new Chupi store in the UK towards the end of 2024 with an aim to boost its expansion in the UK market.

The focus point of the One in a Trillion collection is the lab-grown diamond engagement ring which is available with all white lab-grown diamonds, or with a blush pink oval cut diamond as the centre stone.

The design pays tribute to an oval cut diamond which is contrasted with two trillion cut diamonds on either side. The band is modelled after a hawthorn twig which Sweetman herself found, creating a “faceted” texture cast in carbon neutral recycled 14k gold.

Also included in the One in a Trillion collection are lab-grown diamond earrings with a three-prong setting, a solitaire lab-grown diamond necklace, and a solitaire lab-grown diamond ring – which can be worn alone or as part of a stack.

Sweetman said that Chupi’s engagement, and wedding jewellery is all inspired by the “world of storytelling – encompassing history, myth, romance, and resilience”.

Chupi designs include the Crown of Hope, Crown of Sky, Hero Ring, North Star Original Signet, North Star Necklace, and Georgian Eternity.

Sweetman said: “The One in a Trillion Collection is our most sustainable to date and features one of our most iconic rings recast with lab-grown stones, as well as new designs intended to capture those one in a trillion moments.

“The One in a Trillion Collection is a celebration of everything we’ve done in the past and a promise for the future. I went back to our archives when I was thinking about a piece that celebrated the best of who we are.”

She added: “I thought of our love of noteworthy stones, of statement cuts, our signature Hawthorn Twig Band. I thought of how lab grown stones are the future of diamonds… The next decade for us as a brand is reflected in this collection.”
