Kiki McDonough to launch Carousel collection

Featured coloured stones include pink, purple, orange and green sapphires, tanzanites, tsavorite garnets, tourmalines, aquamarines, morganites, yellow and green beryls, citrines, fire opals and amethysts

British jewellery brand Kiki McDonough is set to launch its new collection, Carousel, on 21 May.

The new 18-piece collection is inspired by Kiki’s own childhood memories: “bright lights, sparkling colours and the dizzying joy of the fairground”.

Featuring 15 pairs of earrings and three pendants, each piece showcases skill and craftsmanship, incorporating various instantly recognisable shapes and motions, as seen at the fair.

Bright and shimmering stones have been set together to form swirl shapes, replicating the flashes of colour that are so synonymous with spinning teacups and merry-go-round rides.

Circular drop earrings and pendants feature baguette stones, designed to mimic the
decorative roofs of the carousel and the instantly recognisable shape of the Ferris
Wheel – one of the oldest of the traditional rides still operating at fairgrounds around the world today.

Featured coloured stones include pink, purple, orange and green sapphires, tanzanites,
tsavorite garnets, tourmalines, aquamarines, morganites, yellow and green beryls, citrines, fire opals and amethysts.

Kiki McDonough said: “The new collection is emblematic of the explosion of movement and colour fondly recalled by Kiki from when she was a child at the funfair.”
