Ethical jewellery brand Sacet will be introducing a unique Black Friday initiative, A Fair Deal for All, allowing its customers to choose what they pay for its collections.
From 24 to 27 November Sacet will be hosting its ‘Choose What You Pay’ sale.
The company will put a price slider on its website, showing a minimum and maximum price of a piece allowing consumers to choose a price within that bracket.
Each selected price then has an ‘your impact’ clause which gives details to which cause the consumer’s money will be going towards. For example, if you choose to pay £49 for earrings, £20 will go directly to the craftspeople, £20 to the planet, and £9 to Sacet. If you choose to pay £27 for a ring, £11 goes to the craftspeople, £11 to the planet and £5 to the brand.
The money from each sale will be split between Sacet’s craftspeople in India, profit, and the planet – in the brand’s steps towards becoming the first carbon-neutral workshop.
As well as this, Sacet will be opening its showroom doors in Hatton Garden to host an exclusive pop-up retail concept over the Black Friday and Cyber Monday weekend.
Priyaj Jain, founder, said: “We want consumers to understand what we’re trying to achieve; a fair price for the consumer, a fair pay for our craftspeople and fair treatment of the environment. By having them decide their price, they get a great deal and they also understand exactly where their money is going.
“The main purpose of the campaign is not only to sell jewellery, but raise awareness of the message behind the brand. We want people to understand that what we’re trying to achieve with Sacet is something more. Our mission is to move the jewellery industry towards a more sustainable approach, focused on three things: people, planet, profit – and in that order.”
