The luxury jeweller has been working to ensure it can safely open when government guidelines permit, with customers invited to book appointments held in-store.
The bespoke appointment service, available to book online, will “deliver a five-star personalised customer experience while ensuring the comfort and safety of clients and staff at all times”.
Ahead of the reopening, staff are also undergoing specialised training to enable them to deliver customer service, alongside the necessary safety measures.
Safety equipment has been set-up in stores, and social distancing will be practised, with a limited number of people in the store at any one time. Furthermore, stores have been deep-cleaned ahead of its reopening.
Stuart McDowell, retail director at Laings, said: “By offering an appointment-only service, we can ensure appropriate social distancing while maintaining the standard of customer experience synonymous with Laings.”
“We opened our Southampton store on June 16 on an appointment-only basis and were pleased to welcome customers back in store. The scheduled appointments have shown that we can effectively implement social distancing and provide a safe environment.”
He added: “Both our customers and staff have felt comfortable and safe in store, enjoying their time with us. We’re looking forward to seeing the same positive response in our other showrooms.
“Throughout this difficult time we’ve continued to be there for our customers in every way possible.”
