Two arrested after £1m armed robbery at Bristol jewellers

Two men have been arrested in connection to an armed jewellery raid where £1m worth of goods were stolen.

Grey-Harris and Co in the Clifton area of Bristol, was hit by a daytime smash-and-grab when four men on two motorcycles used axes and sledgehammers to break the windows of the shop.

The incident happened shortly after 1pm yesterday (26 June).

Two men aged 22 and 26 have since been arrested and taken in for questioning. There is a search for the two other men but no descriptions have been released as they were wearing masks.

Images of the stolen jewellery have been released by Avon and Somerset Police.

Detective Inspector Roger Doxsey said: “A significant amount of high value jewellery was taken during this armed robbery and we’ve launched a full investigation to find those responsible.”
